Sarajevo’s Old Clock Tower

The clock is located beside Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and is the tallest of 21 clock towers built in the country with 30 m. The current clockwork mechanism was installed in the late 1800’s being imported from the London watchmaking firm Gillett & Johnson, it is also believed to be the only clock tower in the world that keeps lunar time making it always seem like it is broken.

The Sarajevo clock is also called Little Ben.
