Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque

Built in the 16th century more precisely 1530/1531, it is the largest historical mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most representative Ottoman structures.
During the Siege of Sarajevo, Serbian forces purposely targeted many centers as the largest and best known, the Beg’s mosque was an obvious target.
Being one of the main architectural monuments in Sarajevo, is regularly visited by tourists
